- BJJ CLASS:
- The Jiu Jitsu classes at Ralph Gracie are geared towards development of ground fighting skills using techniques of Gracie Jiu Jitsu. These techniques were designed to be used against opponents of any size using the virtues of leverage and proper movement. During a typical 90 minute class students will develop their strength, cardio, stamina and of course technical ability. Typically the first 30 minutes is dedicated to cardio and strength training, the next 30 minutes is used to explain and then train a specific technique or set of techniques, and the last 30 minutes is used for open sparring
- JUDO CLASS:
Judo Classes are geared toward the development of takedown skills, specifically those that utilize the grips provided by the gi worn during Judo and Jiu Jitsu competitions. Judo class begins with a calisthenic warm-up using and also includes a number of drills that help develop balance as well as the ability to properly break one's fall. The next section of the class uses uchikomi movements which develop and reinforce the students ability to throw and to properly secure his opponent on the ground following the throw. The last portion of the class is used for “randori” or open sparring in which students practice the techniques that they have learned
- CONDITIONING CLASS:
- This class is a 30-45 minute crossfit-style conditioning course with a primary focus on speed, core-strength and overall cardiovascular fitness
