Newton is our Judo instructor here at Ralph Gracie Berkeley. Newton started training Judo at the age of 5 in Brazil. His classes focus on athletic conditioning, repetition of technique, and application of learned technique in Randori (open sparring sessions). Newton maintains a fun yet very structured learning environment ideal for both adults and children. Newton is a strong and frequent competitor in both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Judo, he was also a fierce wrestler for the local wrestling powerhouse, Albany high school. Newton holds a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. |
